Champagne Region

The historical Champagne region, located in the northeast of France best known for the production of sparkling white wine that bears the regions instantly recognisable name! By law, only sparkling wines produced from grapes grown within the Champagne region can be called Champagne, which must also be produced using the traditional in bottle secondary fermentation method. Traditionally made from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes (anything labelled Blanc de Blancs is 100% Chardonnay) that benefit from the chalky limestone soils and dual climate helping to maintain a balance of ripeness and acidity.
