One of the most famous wine grapes in the world, the ever popular Sauvignon Blanc is a firm favourite – and it’s easy to see why! Originally found in the Loire Valley, succulent Sauvignon Blanc wines offer aromas ranging from freshly cut grass to ripe citrus and tropical fruits such as grapefruit, pineapple or even mango. Light bodied with the perfect amount acidity and moderate alcohol levels, areas such as New Zealand’s Marlborough region produces some fantastic tropical fruit laden Sauvignon Blanc – while the Loire Valley tends to produce more mineral based wines. Ideal to pair with a wide range of foods such as white meats, soft cheeses and fish.
