Malbec

With it’s origins in South West France, the Malbec grape is now one of the most important grapes in Argentina – making up approximately three quarters of the countries vineyards. A thick skinned grape that loves sunshine and altitude such as those provided by Argentina’s Mendoza region, Malbec produces wonderfully fruity and smooth wines that are a great match for richer cuts of red meat. Also a popular blending grape in French Bordeaux blends, choose a bottle of Malbec if you like rich fruit flavours and smooth chocolatey finishes.
