here at the wine centre we are proud members of the kilkenny whiskey guild & carry the largest selection of irish whiskey in the south east of ireland

As one of the founding members of the Kilkenny Whiskey Guild, we are very passionate about promoting the very best of Irish whiskey both locally through our store & guild events as well as online via our website.

The Kilkenny Whiskey Guild is made up of 10 establishments within Co. Kilkenny, each stocking a minimum of 60 Irish Whiskeys as well as offering expertise and extremely knowledgeable staff. Regular whiskey tastings & events are a particular highlights – showcasing Irish whiskey from it’s history (the first written account of distilling in Ireland comes from Kilkenny in the 14th century with the Red Book of Ossory), production as well as the various styles and varieties that are now widely available. We are also delighted to share with you the news that some of the Kilkenny Whiskey Guild members have scooped some prestigious awards at this years Icons of Whiskey Awards – namely Padraic Rafter, Paris Texas Bar who won Bar Manager of the year and Chris Hennessy, The Dylan Whiskey Bar who won Bar Tender of the year – congratulations guys!
