June Grape of The Month: Albariño

Welcome to our June Grape of The Month feature – this month celebrating the Albariño grape!

Albariño is a high-quality grape found mainly in northern Spain, Portugal and southern France used to make elegant, dry wines. Known for its refreshing acidity and slight salinity, Albariño perfectly complements the Mediterranean weather & lifestyle, making it a great summer option for when we get some sun of our own!
To showcase the difference in flavour profile between a French & Spanish style, we have chosen the Sillages Albarino from southern France to go up against the Marieta Albarino from the Spanish Rias Baixas region. If fresh & floral are you thing, try the Sillages – if notes of peach, ripe apple and melon sound more like you, go for the Marieta!
