The Distiller’s Safe has the smooth mouthfeel, typical of a pot still whiskey, combined with the soft buttery sweetness and gentle fruit notes of grain whiskey.
The Safe is a tool that symbolises the skill of the Distiller to exactly direct and separate the best spirit from low wines and feints.
It’s called the Safe because it used to be locked away to prevent people from siphoning off spirits direct from the still to avoid paying duty on the alcohol.
